How to Really Find Me
Best way to find me is by the e-mail above. Please use a relevant subject line if you want me to answer quickly. If you're a member of Tsukuba University, I'm generally available on Teams as well. Just search my name there.
Prospective Students
Thank you for taking the time to read my page in detail! I recommend that first you read the page that I set up for prospective students. After that, send me an e-mail explaining what you are looking for (master degree, exchange program, etc).
Please make sure that your e-mail does not look like something that you send to 20 people without changing a letter. I tend to delete template e-mails.
Review Policy
In general I see peer review as volunteer/charity work, and threat it likewise.
So I will generally review papers for venues that I feel a degree of social obligation to. Namely, conferences and communities where I am an active part of, or editors that I know personally.
In other cases, I'm unlikely to review, unless the abstract is really interesting, or the publisher is a small academic community that I feel needs some help to grow. If you charge thousands of dollars for accepting papers, I expect you to pay your reviewers.
That said, I do enjoy reviewing papers, and would be happy to do more of it if I were properly paid for my time.
