Last week I had the pleasure of receiving four students from American high schools in East Asia through the STEMinars program. For two days, we had an intensive course on how to program computer games using the PICO-8 virtual console. Also, we talked about artificial intelligence and the role of games to society.
We all had a lot of fun, and the student left determined to make a game that help people learn the necessary skills to survive natural disasters, such as hurricanes or earthquake. I am looking forward their alpha version.
See you next year, STEMINARs!
